Ice Capades (2026)

A Short Story written for Writer’s Weekly and their Summer 24 Hr Short Story Contest.  An 890-word story written on the following subject.  

I watched you as you picked up the note I put on your car. I watched when you threw the unopened package in
your garbage can. I watched as your eyes darted left and right when you were sitting with your friends on the beach. And, then I watched you…

I later expanded the story for the Surrey International Writer’s Competition which excepts entries of 2,500-4,000 words.  This expanded story allows for more backstory and less compression of the story too.
